West Portal Pumpkin Patch is great. It has a “hay” structure for kids to climb on, they do pumpkin picking with a hay ride or you could just buy a pumpkin, no picking necessary and they have animals for the kids to see-goats, chickens etc. good for all ages.
Burjan’s Farm in Three Bridges is pretty good. they have hay ride, petting zoo, corn maze, small hay maze for little kids, pony rides, etc.
Peaceful Vally Orchards in Pittstown is also great. They have a hay maze, animals to feed and hay rides on week ends. During the week you can grab a wagon and walk to a field and pick you own.
They also offer class trips complete with an education on bees and what it’s like to grow things on the farm.
My family and I went to the West Portal Pumpkin Patch on Saturday October 2, it was fantastic. We saw farm animals, went on a long hayride around the farm, and pulled our own pumpkins right off the vine. My kids havn’t stop talking about it. My husband even said we could go back again, because the outside hay maze tired the kids out and they fell asleep on the way home. I give it 5 stars.
I went to West Portal Pumpkin Patch on Oct 8 with a pre-school class trip and it was awesome!! I loved that the pumpkins were right on the vines. The farm setting is very pretty, my young son loved the hay and corn mazes and the farm animals were great – especially the big cows which would eat out of your hand. Lots of fun and very scenic!
