SimplyFun ‘Plays It Forward’ With Charitable Initiative. When people usually think of children playing, there’s nothing much to it than playing, right? Wrong answer. Play is more than just an activity that makes the time go by, it is an essential part of a child’s life. Play is an importantl part of living a balanced, successful, and happy life and enhances a child’s academic, social and emotional skills.  At SimplyFun we feel it is only right that we do what we can to help our own communities enjoy more play, so for the month of June, we have launched a charitable donation program called “Play it Forward.”  For each SimplyFun host whose party retail sales exceed $400, SimplyFun will  make a product donation to the host’s organization of choice. The host chooses the organization to support, the products he or she wants them to have, and the products are delivered to the organization in the host’s name. There are so many different types of organizations that can really benefit from our products, such as churches, schools, libraries, hospitals and recreational programs. “The Play It Forward initiative offers a wonderful opportunity for all of us at SimplyFun who have benefited from the success of our business to give back to our local communities in a very special way.

The benefits of play are innumerable. In fact, the American Association of Pediatrics makes key points in a study that was published last year. According to the Association’s study, besides being a way for children to interact with the world around them, play also develops competencies such as enhanced confidence and resiliency to face future challenges. Play also teaches children how to work in groups, share, negotiate and resolve conflicts. And, through child-driven play, kids practice decision-making skills; move and learn at their own pace; discover their areas of interest; and develop creativity, leadership, and group skills.
