Hunterdon County Clubs and Groups

The Newcomers Club of North Hunterdon County warmly extends an invitation to all who are new to the area or established residents who would like to become more involved in the community.  Our general meetings are the 2nd Thursday of the month from September to May at 7:30pm at the Clinton First Aid and Rescue House on Route 73 in Clinton.  In addition to the general meetings Newcomers has many varied special interest groups and volunteer opportunities for its members.  For more information please contact us at  nhnewcomers@yahoo.com

Rutgers Cooperative Extension – Master Gardeners. Master Gardeners are a unique group of trained volunteers who provide horticultural programs and services to enhance their communities. Master Gardeners are enthusiastic, willing to learn and help others, and able to communicate with diverse groups of people. They run a free Garden Helpline service that runs from April through October, 4 days a week. Residents can call with questions or bring in their samples of tree limbs, insects, flowers + all things horticultural. They are an outreach and community based group. The Holistic Moms Network (HMN) is a non-profit support and resource organization connecting parents who are interested in holistic health and green living. HMN was founded in 2003 by a handful of moms yearning for the support and friendship of others parenting outside the mainstream. Today, HMN has over 120 chapters and is informing thousands of people about the benefits of holistic health and green living.   HMN represents the growing demographic of holistic-minded parents who are questioning conventional wisdom in the areas of birthing, child-rearing, healthcare, nutrition and wellness, education, personal relationships, and our society’s views about the natural world. In the face of mounting global and environmental problems, holistic parents strive to give their children the love, support, and information they need to become informed, compassionate, and healthy children who can live in balance with their world.   HMN has a variety of programs to support families along their holistic journeys.
