Anderson House, Inc. (908) 534-5818: Provides short term housing, education and support for women who are recovering from the disease of alcoholism and/or drug addiction. Website: www.andersonhouse.org
The ARC of Hunterdon County (908) 730-7827: Residential and adult training program, recreation and self-advocacy for the developmentally disabled and their families. Website: www.archunterdon.org
Big Brothers/Big Sisters (908) 730-7773: A non-profit organization that brings together adult volunteers and children ages 5-14, from single parent families, for weekly activity and guidance. Website: www.mentorforbbbs.org
Catholic Charities of Hunterdon - Family Services Office (908) 782-7905: Provides services to individuals, families, communities, reflects concerns of Church, people of good will on behalf of needy, economically poor and those devalued by society. Website: www.ccdom.org
Good News Home for Women (908) 806-4220: A long-term residential rehabilitation center for NJ residents. Offers a holistic approach of healing to the mind, body and spirit for women who want to recover from the devastating effects of alcohol and other drug addictions. Hunterdon Youth Services (908) 782-0848: Support At Risk adolescents through provision of services specific to their individual needs (shelter, education, recreation, substance abuse counseling, life skills education and Group Home).
Meals on Wheels (908) 735-8332: Deliveries each weekday to homebound seniors as well as four Congregate Nutrition Sites for the independent Senior in Hunterdon.
NORWESCAP Food Bank (908) 454-4322: Distributes donated food to non-profit organizations that feed the hungry. Website: www.norwescap.org
Safe in Hunterdon (908) 788-7666: Free and confidential services, individual group counseling, legal advocacy, 24 hour hotline, safe housing and support for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. Website: www.safeinhunterdon.org
