Open Houses will be held at Acorn Montessori School on 2/28 from 1-3 pm, 3/7 from 1-3 pm, 3/13 from 10-1pm, and 4/11 from 1-3 pm. Our school is located at 1222Route 31 North in Lebanon, at the intersection of Route 31 and Tine Rd.  Our school has classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary aged students.  We welcome all comers to see our beautiful 5 acre campus, meet our experienced and certified teachers, and see why education at Acorn is much more than academics!

Acorn Montessori School in Clinton Township, NJ will host a inspirational discussion on the specific educational needs of children based on child development stages on March 10, 2010 beginning at 9.30am.  Jackie H. Etter, mother of three children and Director, Head of School at Acorn Montessori School will share some fascinating research on the importance of early childhood education.  Join other parents for a unique experience that will certainly spark some creative ideas parents can implement at home.  A supervised activity will be provided for children ages 3 and up.

Acorn Montessori School is celebrating their 25th year of educating children.  Acorn not only aspires to reach the highest academic standards but also instills in children qualities like self-confidence, accountability, and awareness while inspiring them to undertake selfless acts of community service.  One example is their participation in America’s Grow-A-Row, an organization that helps stock local food pantries with fresh produce our children help plant, harvest and distribute.  The children have also helped work on a project with the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey.  The primary grade students collected acorns to provide necessary food stores for our endangered Allegheny Woodrat population.  All of this has made them not just better students, but better citizens.

We invite you to join us for our 25th Anniversary Gala on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey to celebrate where we’ve been, but also to look forward and plant the seeds that will take root for the next 25 years and beyond.  There will be an elegant dinner with open bar, a live auction conducted by Harrie Copeland, a silent auction of luxurious merchandise, and even a raffle for a Mercedes.  Doctor D Entertainment will be providing the entertainment for the evening.  We anticipate a record turnout, with more than 150 parents, community leaders, philanthropists, and business partners joining us.  We hope you’re among them.

While the goal of this event is to raise money, we look upon it as an investment in the future.  The funds we raise will sustain our operating capital, allow us to participate in future community service projects, and establish our new Grow With Us Scholarship. This scholarship will help expand the socioeconomic and cultural diversity of our student body in order to help realize the undiscovered potential of students who might not otherwise be able to afford this type of education.

Acorn Montessori School educates children ages 18 months to 12 years old in their Clinton Township location. The school offers a warm, supportive environment along with an enriching Montessori-based education that fosters a child’s innate love of learning, creativity and wonder; cultivates dynamic partnerships between family, school and community; celebrates the human spirit and honors the diversity among us to inspire and impact society through academic excellence and service.
