Hippotherapy as a form of equine facilitated therapy may benefit your child with special needs if they require 1:1 attention by a licensed therapy professional in order to maintain or facilitate postural control, if they are over the age of 2-1/2, or if there are specific functional, cognitive, or nueromotor skills that can be facilitated by the therapist through the movement of the horse.
