Cavallo Park
Here’s what some parents are saying about Cavallo Park. Leave your own comments for us on this park if you’ve been there.
Located in Lambertville, NJ near the D&R Canal.
“This is a terrific playground to take your kids. They have some infant equipment, but I think it would be best to take toddlers and preschool age kids. There is space for a picnic, and there is a creek which has ducks and geese to watch. Also, the D&R Canal is right there so you can take a walk with a stroller, or your kids, into Lambertville itself. Sometimes in the summer, goose poop can be a problem, so please don’t feed the birds. The greatest thing about this park is that there are ALWAYS other kids there. There is always someone for my daughter to play with.”

The Frenchtown Borough Park
Here’s what some parents are saying about the Frenchtown Borough Park. Leave your own comments for us on this park if you’ve been there.
Located off Route 12 behind the shopping strip mall including Napoli Pizza and Frenchtwon Pharmacy.
“This park is particularly nice in the summer because it’s very shady and cool and there is easy access (even for toddlers) to a clean, shallow stream. The park is particularly good for preschoolers and younger school age kids, but it’s a lovely place for all kids to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a hot summer day.”

Rated: Excellent Overall, Good for Older Kids
“I feel this is a great park for older kids. There is a ton of apparatus for them to climb and get into. It might be a little much for the preschool set. They usually will hang out in the sandbox with mom while their older siblings climb the towers. Lots of fun and interesting stuff for them to do!”

“I feel this is a great park overall. It’s clean, there are picnic tables, benches, shade. It is great especially for preschoolers because all the apparatus is low to the ground, there is a huge sandbox, and there are plenty of swings to go around. You will always find lots of little kids here on a sunny day!”
